We love video and for the most part this site will be all about video production, editing, graphics for video and camaraderie!

The founder of Digital Preserves, Jackie Gammie has been a professional video editor for 25 years.  In 1980 she began working for a large post production company in the Atlanta market as an editor for broadcast and corporate clientele.  After spending 10 years in a fast paced, high demand broadcast environment, while also starting a family, she found it to be more practical to work on a freelance basis, editing for large corporate accounts such as The Coca-Cola Company, Chick-Fil-A and PSAV Show Solutions.  In 1999 she decided to form her own post production company Marmalade Media, LLC.

"After going out on my own I became more involved in event video production and the need for small independent production studios to have access to professional products they could incorporate into their own productions.  They do not have the luxury of an art department down the hall as we did in a large turnkey post production facility" says Gammie. "which is why I began to produce my new library of production elements...Digital Preserves...which are available on our new website Digital-Preserves.com".

One of the exciting things that sets Digital-Preserves.com apart from other animation libraries is the ability to download video animations right off the website.  This opens up tremendous opportunities for video editors.

With this feature, an editor working on a project who suddenly needs a background or lower third element can log onto our site, select a Single Serving video animation from the shopping cart, and purchase it for download right then!  No more waiting for a disk to arrive, or buying a large amount of useless animations just to get the one or two designs you really need.

"As an editor myself, I can see the huge benefit this provides to editors working on deadline driven projects" says Jackie.

Another aspect to our new website that we are very excited about is the addition of our user Forum and Showcase page.  This is where the magic of being in this industry is created...editors sharing ideas with each other.

"This is one part of being in this profession I really love" says Jackie.  “By sharing ideas we all learn from each other.  The Forum provides an opportunity for our customers to show their work, help each other by answering questions, solving problems and showing others what can be created with our products!”

“We've also created a Showcase page.  This is where forum members with the highest rated projects for each calendar month will have their talent and creativity displayed and showcased.”
